The COVID-19 global health crisis has affected every aspect of our way of life, and church is no exception. As we adjust to a new, and temporary, normal, we want you to stay updated on Binkley’s response to the pandemic.
Closings & Cancellations
All church activities and in-person services are cancelled until further notice. We will live stream our worship services every Sunday. Click here for more information.
In accordance with stay-at-home order issued by NC Governor Roy Cooper, our building is closed for public use. The building is locked and key fobs are inoperable. Community and support meetings are not meeting on our campus. If you need help finding out about a support group meeting, contact the office.
Update 5/22/2020: Our building will remain closed and services will remain virtual until further notice despite updated orders from the Governor.
Update 10/14/2020: Our building will remain closed and all services will remain virtual until at least 12/31/2020. Click here to read a statement from our Reopening Workgroup.
How do I stay connected?
We are live streaming worship every Sunday.
We will continue to offer additional virtual learning and community-building opportunities. Be sure to subscribe to our mailing list to stay updated.
Become a Binkley Buddy. If you would like to be connected to another member of our community as someone who you can be in regular contact with during this time, please let us know! Even if you are not feeling particularly isolated, but would like to be there for someone who is, let us know that, too! Send your name, email, and phone number to the office and we will assign you a buddy. We’ll connect you to your buddy via email. Once you’re connected with your buddy, you can decide how and when you communicate with one another. FaceTime? Emails? Letters? Phone calls? It all goes! (Just not in person!) You’re also welcome to choose your own Buddy.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to a pastor or your deacon if you need to talk or need specific assistance. If you don’t know who your deacon is, contact the office.
Our staff continues to work diligently to keep the church connected through digital mediums. Our staff members are reachable by phone and email, though email communication is preferred at this time. Click here to view the staff directory.
Just reach out! Pull out your church directory and give a friend a call.
Take a walk around campus. Being outdoors for exercise is still permitted under the stay-at-home order. Our beautiful grounds are an ideal place for a meditative walk, and it will help you feel connected to your church home. Don’t forget about the labyrinth in the courtyard! Just be sure to maintain at least six feet of distance if others are present.
Above all, take good care of yourself, wash your hands, and be well.
