Being Baptist, Staying Baptist?

Part Two of a series of church conversations on denominational identity.

Join our Senior Minister, Marcus McFaul, for our Wednesday Night Dinner and Program, Being Baptist, Staying Baptist? on Wednesday, May 17 for a presentation on the history of the Baptist movement and present-day challenges to the name “Baptist.” In recent years, many congregations, including our own, have struggled with whether to keep or move away from the label. As an ecumenical church consisting of many members from a variety and assortment of Christian traditions and backgrounds, yet also one firmly anchored in the Baptist heritage of freedom and faithfulness, navigating these waters and these times can be confounding. This is the second in a series of conversations, presentations, and discussions on congregational identity. Join us! The deadline to make reservations is Monday, May 15.

All ages are invited to join Binkley friends and guests for supper (5:30 pm) in the Fellowship Hall, followed by a program for adults, with a separate children’s activity (6:15-7 pm). Meal ($10 for adults; $5 for children; family discounts available)  Cash, check, Venmo, and credit cards accepted.  Once you’ve submitted your response, you will receive a confirmation that has the link to pay via credit card.
