Epiphany Coffee House & Service Project

All ages are invited to join in a project that brings love in practical ways to those who need it most!

For two years (2019-2020), we celebrated Epiphany with a service project for El Refugio. This Epiphany, we are again reaching out to El Refugio, a house in Lumpkin, Georgia, which provides resources to the men and women housed at nearby Stewart Detention Center. El Refugio also provides legal aid to detainees and supports those released as they get their feet on the ground. Such support includes helping the families of the detainees and providing clothing, bus tickets, and gas cards when they are released.

Join Binkley friends as we munch on breakfast snacks and sip coffee and hot chocolate, share stories from the holidays, and renew our vision for helping those for whom the new year brings challenges we can barely imagine. We are collecting clothes, funds for gas cards, and more. We will also be writing Valentine cards to the detainees, using Spanish phrases that Amy Armstrong and others will help us to write.
