Fall Book Read and Discussion Group

Join together with some of your friends and fellow members for a book read and discussion of John Philip Newell’s latest hot-off-the-press book Sacred Earth Sacred Soul: Celtic Wisdom for Reawakening To What Our Souls Know and Healing the World. Rev. Dr. Marcus McFaul will facilitate the class.

This in-person opportunity will be on Thursday mornings from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. starting on October 6th. It will meet weekly for 4 weeks and be held in the church Library. In anticipation of week one, please purchase the book and read the first two chapters.

The book explores the hidden tradition and beauty of Celtic Christian spirituality, particularly through the wisdom of people such as Brigid of Kildare, John Muir, and the wonderful Teilhard de Chardin. How do we listen to the sacred and see the divine in all of creation and within each of us? Come and renew your understanding of a faith that can heal the earth, overcome conflicts, and reconnect to one’s true self.
