A Taizé service is a meditative, ecumenical Christian worship service characterized by candlelight, long periods of silence, and simple, repetitive songs. Originating from a monastic community in Taizé, France, established after WWII, these services focus on peace, reconciliation, and contemplative prayer rather than preaching.
