I grew up attending Binkley Church. It was such an amazing church home.
I remember Mrs. Seymour’s beautiful organ music every week and our special candlelight music service on Christmas Eve. She was also a VERY patient teacher during piano lessons!
Dr. Seymour’s influence was a guiding light to me growing up. I always looked forward to his sermons.
I was seven when my parents joined Binkley. We were still meeting at Gerard Hall on the UNC campus at that time. I remember trying to understand what his sermons meant in spite of the “big words”. His sermons were the first ones I listened to without drawing on the church bulletin!
I’m very thankful for Dr. Seymour’s words and his leadership in our church and community. Growing up in Binkley Church greatly influenced me both as a teacher and as a member of my own church and community!
Thank you Dr. and Mrs. Seymour!
